PNW HITTING ACADEMY IS THE MOST COMPLETE AND COMPREHENSIVE HITTING TRAINING PROGRAM IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST

Many programs say they provide personalized training. We ACTUALLY do.

PNW Hitting Academy leverages a combination of state-of-the-art technology, individualized attention, industry leading training methods, and experienced, top-tier coaches to help you not only get better, but get better faster than your peers.

BECOME A COMPLETE HITTER!

Find more barrels. Hit the ball farther. Become a hard out.

PNW Hitting Academy’s proven training methods get results! After just 4 weeks of training in the PNW Hitting Academy we have had multiple athletes see increases of over 4 mph in bat speed, increase exit velocities by over 5 mph, and achieve over 20 feet on their batted ball distance!

But it doesn’t stop there. While metrics are great, we train the complete hitter. In addition to training athletes to swing hard and mash the ball, we also train contact quality (finding more barrels) and swing decisions (becoming a harder hitter to get out). We have had multiple athletes increase their batting average by over .100 points and cut their strikeouts in half after one off-season of training in the PNW Hitting Academy.

WE TAKE THE GUESSWORK OUT OF GETTING BETTER

As an athlete, your attention should be focused on your training – not searching for appropriate drills or workouts, and suffering through trial and error.  With our unique combination of state-of-the-art technological tools, proven training methods, and proprietary resources, we remove all the guesswork, so you can focus your attention where it should be – on your training.

IT ALL STARTS WITH THE ASSESSMENT

Every PNW Hitting Academy athlete begins their training with a rigorous and comprehensive assessment, where we assess your abilities in the following areas:

  • Strength
  • Mobility
  • Bat path
  • Bat speed
  • Hitting Power
  • Contact Quality
  • Swing Decisions

WE IDENTIFY, ISOLATE, AND ATTACK THE SPECIFIC THINGS THAT ARE HOLDING YOU BACK

From the results of your assessment, we identify and isolate the areas where you need immediate improvement, and we attack those first.

Every athlete has something that is holding them back from being the best possible version of themselves, whether it be strength deficiencies, mobility limitations, or otherwise.  We begin by identifying and isolating the biggest things that are holding you back, and we attack those first.

Then, we reassess

After 6-8 weeks of relentlessly attacking the things that are most holding you back, we assess again.  Based on the results of that re-assessment, we either continue attacking the same thing that is holding you back (for continued improvement), or we identify new areas for immediate improvement, and we vigorously attack those for another 6-8 weeks. Wash, rinse, repeat.

We leverage a combination of technology and resources you can’t find anywhere else

Some of the technology and resources we utilize in the PNW Hitting Academy:

HitTrax

The technology used by MLB teams and Division I college programs for tracking exit velocity and batted ball distance while in a batting cage setting

Markerless Biomechanics (Age 13 and up)

Allows us to assess your movements on a biomechanical level, including things like head position/shift, weight shifts, early rotation, etc.

Blast Motion Sensors

The technology used by MLB and Division I college programs for tracking metrics like bat speed, early connection (having a consistent load), and rotational acceleration while in a batting cage setting

iPitch

The state-of-the-art pitching machine utilized by MLB teams, which can throw literally any pitch, and can automatically adjust and re-calibrate between pitch types, with adjustments taking less than 3 seconds. We use this machine for targeted practice hitting certain pitch types or pitch sequences, and to replicate facing a live pitcher.

Driveline TRAQ with Edge tools

  • Allows us to track an athlete’s progress across a range of data points
  • Allows us to view trends in an athlete’s performance and run comparisons
  • Allows us to merge data from HitTrax and Blast Motion to create snapshot reports on an athlete’s progress as a hitter
  • Allows an athlete and their trainer to communicate 24/7 via private messages
  • Allows us to compare each athlete’s metrics against thousands of other athletes at a specific age/skill level

Athlete Experience

With enrollment in PNW Hitting Academy, you will get two 1-hour sessions per week with your hitting instructor in a 1:1 or 2:1 setting, ensuring that you get individualized attention and plenty of direct oversight from our training staff.

In addition to the work you do in-gym, your trainer will prescribe you drills and workouts to perform on your own, in-between in-person sessions.  These drills and workouts will be delivered and logged into Driveline TRAQ – a platform that athletes can access at any time, from any device.

Showcase Prep

If you are a high school player who wants to be recruited to play in college, the first time you see your key hitting metrics SHOULD NOT be at the showcase you have spent hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars to attend.

We know the key hitting metrics that are tracked at showcases and valued by college coaches and pro scouts, and we track them using the same technology they use.

We optimize training for our high school aged athletes to ensure that we are improving on the hitting metrics that are tracked at showcase events, so when our athletes do attend showcases, they are primed to put forward their best performance and receive the best results possible.

Gold standard recruiting assistance

College coaches and professional scouts will tell you, some of the highest resolution information they can receive from hitters who want to be recruited is video through HitTrax and Blast Motion. They know and trust the technology and metrics.

Hitting video clips through HitTrax will be collected and curated for every athlete in the PNW Hitting Academy.  Over time, athletes will have a complete portfolio of highlights and metrics they can forward to college coaches or pro scouts using the same technology they use.

Additionally, for PNW Hitting Academy athletes who are 14 years of age and older, we will help curate each athlete’s best video clips through HitTrax, Blast Motion, and other metrics we have gathered, and help athletes package them up for delivery to coaches and scouts, including assistance with preparing cover emails to help athletes present themselves in their best light.

We also leverage our network of Division I, Division II, Division III, and junior college coaches and professional scouts to help high school athletes get placed at the next level.

This service is included in our pricing, and provided to athletes age 14 and over at no additional cost!

NOW IS THE TIME TO BECOME THE COMPLETE HITTER YOU HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE!

PNW Hitting Academy is your cheat code to leveling up your game this offseason and preparing yourself to dominate in high school and beyond.  As an athlete in the PNW Hitting Academy, you will not only improve as a hitter, but you will improve FASTER than your peers and your competition, because we take the guesswork out of getting better!
