Jay-J Yarbrough-Jones
Jay-J Yarbrough-Jones is the PNW Baseball Dojo’s Lead Pitching Trainer. Jay-J joins us from Driveline Baseball, where he spent several years as both an athlete and a coach. A native of Federal Way, Washington, Jay-J is a seasoned pitching trainer with experience working with athletes from the youth level all the way up to the top professional players on the planet.
Jay-J was an original client of Driveline in 2013, and as both an athlete and a coach, he has integrated cutting edge technology and techniques into his coaching.
Jay-J holds certifications from Driveline in pitching, hitting, and strength and conditioning. Additionally, Jay-J holds an M.S. in Kinesiology from Seattle University, and a B.S. in Kinesiology from Washington State University.
Jay-J has a unique commitment to continuous improvement and customized training approaches as he helps athletes progress from the player they are today, to the player they want to be.
Ian Sanderson
In addition to being the PNW Baseball Dojo’s Lead Hitting Trainer, Coach Sanderson is also the head baseball coach at Tacoma Community College (TCC).
A true baseball lifer, Coach Sanderson has coached at, among others, Lower Columbia College (where he helped lead the Red Devils to three consecutive NWAC Championships), Antelope Valley University, and Division 1 Oakland University, in Michigan. Additionally, Coach Sanderson has coached the Wenatchee Applesox, Victoria Harbourcats, and the Gresham Grey Wolves, all of the West Coast League (one of the premier college summer leagues in the country).
In his first season at the helm of the TCC Titans baseball program in 2024, Coach Sanderson led the team to a .786 winning percentage, and some of the best offensive numbers in program history.
Coach Sanderson knows what it takes to be a successful hitter at the college level (and beyond), and brings a high level of attention to detail and modern hitting principles/approaches to our hitting athletes.
