Group sessions are available for drop-in participants and are a great way to experience the PNW Baseball Dojo and level-up your training without the commitment of individual training.
Live At-Bats
Live at-bats sessions at the PNW Baseball Dojo feature state of the art ball and swing tracking technology (Trackman, HitTrax, Blast Motion) as well as video capture. Why? Not only does the inclusion of this state-of-the-art technology make live at-bats sessions more fun and engaging, but it gives you insights into how your skills play in a game-like setting. For 99% of athletes, there is currently no reliable way to get robust pitching, batted ball, or swing metrics in games. In live at-bats at the PNW Baseball Dojo, you can see what your pitch movement profiles, pitch velocities, bat speeds, exit velocities, and launch angles look like in a game-like setting. This is the most valuable, and high-resolution data you can gather on yourself. With HitTrax, hitters can also see where their own individual hot zones are, so you can start hunting the pitches you can do damage on, and stop chasing pitches that aren’t right for you – resulting in more barrels and hard hit balls, and less roll-overs and weak contact.
With our video capture technologies and ability to overlay graphics with the metrics captured during your live at-bats sessions, we can put together compelling clips with verifiable data that athletes can use for their own training purposes and for recruiting.
Advanced Batting Practice
Advanced batting practice at the PNW Baseball Dojo is like regular batting practice, but leveled up! Utilizing our iPitch machine, we can give athletes massive amounts of reps facing specific pitch types, specific pitch sequences, or performing machine live at-bats against a specific pitcher profile. As pitchers are using technology to increase their spin rates and develop nastier pitches, and as they begin to learn how to “tunnel” their pitches (making multiple pitches all appear the same out of the hand), it is vital that hitters keep pace. With our iPitch machine, we can replicate specific pitch types and sequences, and give hitters hundreds of reps against the kinds of pitch shapes and sequences they can expect to see in games. In addition to our iPitch machine, we utilize HitTrax in all Advanced Batting Practice sessions.
Open Hitting
Open Hitting at the PNW Baseball Dojo is like traditional batting practice. Rounds of 8 and as many swings as you can get during the session. Unlike Advanced Batting Practice, the focus in open hitting is a more relaxed environment where athletes are getting their swings in, working on feel, etc. Depending on the session, pitches may be “out of the hand” or from a pitching machine. HitTrax is utilized in all Open Hitting sessions.
